Mr. Cutes goes to Winston Salem

Emmitt has been given many nicknames since his birth but the one that has stuck the most for me is Mr. Cutes. If you haven't heard me call him that yet in person or in one of the below videos, you probably will eventually. Little Sweetness is a common one as well.

Last weekend we went down to Winston Salem, NC to visit with friends Starla and James (who were very hospitable and invited us to stay with them in their home! -thanks, guys!-) and to see Kerry's grandparents: Nana, Grandmother & Granddaddy. Unfortunately, none of my grandparents are still with us but we feel as though it's a real blessing to still have three great grandparents around for Emmitt to get to know and vice versa.

Grandmother has a photo of Emmitt by her favorite chair and she has made a habit of telling him when she's going for a meal and when she'll be back. However, she doesn't call him Emmitt or Mr. Cutes but "Cutie Pie" - a name that she decided was appropriate because she enjoys Cutie Pie Snack Pies and, well, because it's an obvious truth :)
